its sad. im not posting to get a huge reaction like most of the assholes on the forum are. there are starving children, 24000 of them, so stereotyping ALL 24000 of them on the few children who are used in the ads is ignorant. All the anger here is based on the portrayal of the starving child by charity organizations. Granted they prolly dont distribute the money half as well as they claim, but for god sakes you are a despicable person if you can be so heartless as to say you dont care. sure weve been desensitized to starving children cause there are so many organizations out there asking for money, but the true fact, behind all the political and profit shit is that there are starving children. And when you are born you were every bit as innocent as them. You could have been a starving child. No education, no opportunites, no freedoms, a starving child. A lack of imagination makes it hard for me and for anyone who lives a comfortable life to fathom the pain they go through. But we are people of the world, and the minute you begin to post racist, self-righteous inspired patriotic shit, you lose the respect of other people. And like it or not, respect matters, unless you dont care what kind person you want to be. In that case, live your life with total disregard to all things in the world, thats your choice, but dont come on this board to instigate fights over matters that are real - real suffering
