I totally agree with you. I'm doing a school report, and the numbers of people who are living in poverty are massive! If everyone would just give up a single ice cream cone or a movie ticket, or some little luxury we have here int his country and put that money aside, there would be so much money that could go to helping kids and people that don't have anything at all. Out society is entirely selfish and frankly, I think that it is a disgrace. We are supposed to be compassionate, and some of you who have written responses here are so much less than that. The only difference between that people living in poverty and you and me is the fact that we were blessed by God and born in a country where we don't ahve to starve. If those people had be born somewhere else, guess what? They wouldn't be having all of these problems. It's not their fault they were born and live where they are. Have a little heart and at least show some compassion. I'm only 15 years old and I can see that some of you are the exact image of what makes up our society...people who care about no one but themselves. Open your eyes and since you are capable of doing something...DO IT!
