You're an idiot. If what you are saying is to be applied everywhere, than at least half of Vietnam (the southern half) has more reason to hate the other half (north) than America. The men and women who died over there trying to liberate you're sorry asses didn't usually want to be there. We didn't invade the south, nor did we make the north invade the south. They did that on there own. So why don't you hate the North more than America? Maybe we were over there for the wrong reasons, but who are you to judge? Thats a question of ideology, a question you are neither prepared nor qualified to preside over. The fact is, the government sent our boys to die. Don't be mad at all of America for the poor decisions of a few. It's too diverse a place for that. I lost family and friends over there as well. Does that mean I have the right to hate ALL Vietnamese forever? After all, you killed them. Does that mean I have the right to carry this burning hatred forever, into a generation of Vietnamese that had nothing to do with the war, as today's Americans had nothing to do with it? It was over 30 years ago. If Vietnam is still suffering so terribly from this war, it is there own fault. They are not doing enough to help themselves. There is really no excuse. Perhaps it is because if ignorance like the type you profess that keeps them in the grips of poverty and misery.
