Why we lost the war

From Bill Snyder, on Wed, 23 Oct 1996 14:12:22 GMT

We lost the war the same as the French - in Paris.
The politicos ran the war, not the military. If the US
carried the ground war north, it would have been over
in a short time. We could have cut the north in half
just above Vin (town). The students didn't start their
protests until the (leftist) Professors in the Colleges and
Universities started preaching their political views.
Also remember, that we won our war; the VC were eliminated
as a military threat way before TET. It is when the NVA
main force arrived that things started going down hill.
Anyway, we won the war, Communism is dead (except in the US).
