Vietnam Dream

From Dave Steele, on Thu, 03 Oct 1996 23:29:41 GMT

I had a dream last night that I was in the Vietnam War. I was wading through a river looking up at the enemy that I was about to ambush. I was dragging a wounded comrade away from the firefight, trying to get him away. You who were there woke up to this reality, I can only imagine the horror and terror that you had to deal with.

I visited several Wietnam sites on the web today, I saw images and I read stories.

I downloaded a copy of the names on the wall. I read some of the names. These people had dreams, families stories, hopes and desires. I broke down and wept.

To those of you who were there, you have my utmost respect and admiration. You were willing to give the supreme sacrifice. Our country forever owes you and your comrades who did not return a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid.

My sincere best wishes to the Veterans of this experience. God bless you.
