There is a book I read called (lurp team leader) it was the first thing I had ever read on vietnam but the very last chapter made me cry. The man who wrote it explained in detail what happened when he got home. at the air port his wife greeted him with devorce papers and at a new years party he destroyed some tables because the fireworks sparked his nam instinct to hit the ground when things go bang. I tell you read this book. My dad joined the army so he could fight, not because he believed in the war, but because he wanted to fight. I was born at Ft. stewart GA. My entire family has been involved in wars and all of them have returned proud, not for america alone but for the boys they fought along side of, im only nineteen but when I see a man in a wheel chair with a sign that says HUNGRY VET I give him all thats in my pocket and I say "welcome home, Sir, would you tell me your story?". they always tell me and I always listen very closely with a feeling of pride. Braxton you sound like a person I could get along with. When I was in school my teachers always put the men and the war down but I always stick to my guns. Im damn proud of every man who fought and returned, and every man who fought and died during the war. WELCOME HOME ALL OF YOU.
