you are taking a couple of incidents that happen thru a ten year war and making a judgment.first if you were there i believe in the case you talk about you would have either stopped what was happening,looked the other way,or became involved yourself depending on your up brining and courage at the age of nineteen but you were probably back in the states safe and sound.so if you still feel qulified to make judgement on us them email me and will talk and amybe i can help you understand.nothing like that ever happened with my unit a co 1/7th cav 1st cav div. but it did in the indian wars.and at least they were easy to tell apart from the friendlies.good luck hope you can get over the thinking you have about vets.
