I agree...

Many people will not like what you have written, but I an NOT one of them. Just look at some of the responses I have gotten. But I did what I believed in at the time. I was misled, perhaps, but NOT forced. I, at least, did not follow blindly. Oh, no, it was MY opinion (which perhaps was swayed by my strong emotions, and those of my parents) that lead my to join VC. No one forced me, but some seem to think that to fight for a cause that you believe truly in is less noble than blindly following the politics imposed on you. No doubt, there were politics involved in the VC, but hell if I cared about them! I wanted freedom from imperialism. How silly
