I wish I knew!

Was it worth it? I wish I knew..I wish I could find the peace
inside me that would answer this question.  Worth it for whom?
For the innocent Vietnamese people who lost so much in this war?
Worth it to the families of american service people who were
killed over there? Worth it to the familes of the MIA/POW men
who are still unaccounted for? I think not..was it worth it
to the government who had to  try to "save face"? Who cares!
I know it was NOT worth it to me to lose my cousin over there
to know he would never have children of his own and that I
would never get the opportunity to tell him I loved him again.
I wish I knew..then maybe I, and thousands of other people, 
could finally find the peace they have not had for 30 years!
If anyone KNOWS the answer...please..tell me!!!
