Thanks for pointng out the fact that the Vietnam Conflict was not just an ambitios, noble reason to fight. It was all blood shed and guts, for what?! Many people died for two reasons, not just because they had to but they did it out of a sense of duty for their country. Many people think that it was just an unrealistic assurance of democracy. I don't understand why everyone keeps calling Vietnam a war, when in fact it was never officially declared a WAR.!? I cannot understand how people can have no regrets for marching fathers, grandfathers, brothers, uncles, cousins, husbands, children, friends, and lovers off to a senseless slaughter. Would you die and/or be mutilated for your country?? So many of you say yes, but do you actually think that when it came right down to it you could. Would you give your life for democracy? I knew you wouldn't, willingly. I thank those men that went over and gave their lives or body parts to fight in this unnecessary CONFLICT. For you we are sincerely grateful. Next time take a stand and say, "I'm Not Going!!!" Thank-you for the realistic horrors of the war.
