Can You Help Me Locate Info?

I have been looking for 3 yrs. for info of a reunion documented on a prime time news show (ABC's prime time?) host- ed by a man who served and was a part of the reunion/battle and also was a Washington Post correspondant. The reunion was either a 25th or 30th year anniversary of this battle in which there were more fatalities on both sides than any other battle. The show air on or about July 5 or 6, 1995. Apparently this author (maybe Jack Smith?) wrote a book about the battle and the reunion. Can anyone help?
