Military

many memories - mixed emotions

Yesterday I visited the Vietnam Vet. monument in my home town.
It was difficult, but OK. Now, these 30 years later, a more
profound realization comes over me as I survey the names of
those who died or are yet POW/MIA from my county just north of
Philadelphia, Pa. To this day I know there was a reason. There is much discullion as to the validity of our entering the problems of South Vietnam, yet I still find that our initial reason for doing so was of a worthy purpose. That "worthy purpose" turned into a nightmare of unresolved issues, yet stand up and be counted you Vietnam vets. You did well, and are obliged to enter the ranks of those patriots of this country that served well and are on our most hallowed honor rolls.
