Military

Sgt.'s have feelings also.

From Sgt Gunter, on Mon, 05 Jan 1998 21:08:37 GMT

I remember Vietnam, the sacrifices that were made. I made many myself. I have seen war, I have seen life, and death. It hurts in all aspects. We joined the military to serve our country. Not just for a job, but to become leaders, with discipline. We were given a mission, a task. Any good soldier knows that mission always comes first. We did what we were told. I would go and fight in Bosnia today if they told me to. It is about securing the freedom for people. Some countries want their freedom, but can not fight for themseleves. We as Americans don't always volunteer to go and fight, we are ask to come and fight. Yes, it is true that there are some fights that are more for political intrest, but that is all part of living life. I have a strong disagreement with people who protest the military. I can't say hatered. I learned not to hate, I just don't agree. I feel a real sense of pride when I put on my dress uniform. If you are a member of the military, you should take pride in yourself, your country, and your actions. Sincerely, Sgt. Gunter
