From Michael Griffin, on Sun, 07 Sep 1997 17:01:53 GMT
I am only 19 and though my father was in the AF during Vietnam he didn't go over. I just want to say that those men who went over there have my deepest respect, as a kid when asked who my heroes where, most people said movie stars or something, I always said the soldier. You guys had to deal with stuff no one can ever imagine and only the ignorant criticize you guys and look down on you, I just hope that as I enter my military service that I can continue the tradition of fighting for my country though everyone opposes the idea. I know it may be a little late coming and probably doesn't mean much, but I want to thank you guys. To say thank you for all those people who appreciate what you did, because there are many that I know
With the deepest respect, Michael Griffin (GMC) Air Force ROTC det 825
