Honor and Respects

From Tom Seales 2LT Co C 1/12 Inf, 4th Inf Div, on Sat, 22 Nov 1997 01:39:20 GMT (in response to: I rather died as a fool for my country than lived as coward)

To James Dihn, Your response reflects honor on you and your ancestors. Those who have no honor or respect only reflect their ignorance. I would think that your father would have been proud of a son who shows respect for those who only wanted to help. If our government who sent us was deceived about the war and how we were preceived, then how much more the individual soldier who didn't have the Big Picture. We went with the best of intentions, to perform the mission given. To stem the tide of communism, protect the soverignty of a free country, South Viet Nam, and help a people perserve their freedom. If we are to be dishonored by our enemies for that then God help us all.
