In 1965 I had one year left in the Army. I was stationed in Germany. I requested a transfer to Vietnam. The answer was My security clearance was too high and my MOS was critical. I have wondered ever since what would have happened to me and how my life would have been changed if I had gotten that transfer...I will never know.
