Hippies, War Protesters and "baby killers"

From Mars is for Martians (hippie Martians, too), on Thu, 27 Mar 1997 02:18:47 GMT (in response to: TO THOSE WHO FOUGHT, TO THOSE WHO DIED...WE REMEMBER)

Being a hippie back then and having some experience observing
anti-war demonstrations, etc, I must say that certainly some
of the 'hippies and war protesters' did have bigoted attitudes
against the troops BUT certainly some people had bigoted
attitudes against the hippies and war protesters! True hippie
culture was benign by nature and 'hostile' hippies weren't
real hippies....Will us hippies forever be dumped on by some
people? Well, it was always thus......I've noticed that the
anti-hippie and anti-troop attitudes are similar, same kind of
vibe, differant tonality.
signed x still a hippie and used to be a troop (73-76)USA
ps: if you'd written "SOME hippies SOME war protesters"
       I wouldn't have minded.......................
