If you think America had an "ethical obligation" in Vietnam then you are rather delusional. Where does the ethics come in? Was it the "obligation" to kill people for OUR purpose? Justifying it with ethics simply turs ethics into a sham. If you want, say that it was necessary for the survival of our country (although some might disagree with you...), then at least you wouldn't be adding apples and oranges. Necessity and morality are two different things, buddy. War may sometimes be necessary, but it is never right.
