Theories, principles and practices
that determine effectiveness, efficiency and humane supervision at all
education levels. Emphasis on clinical supervision, general supervision, new
research connecting theory to instructional improvement and better
techniques for observational analysis. 3

Course Objectives: |
1. Students will
be able to identify the historical influences effecting the supervisory process
in public and private education. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate the knowledge, understanding and judgment regarding appropriate supervision approaches that directly relate to student achievement.. 3. Students will be able to identify the forces at work which may influence and modify the nature and structure of the supervisory process. 4. Given the skills and dispositions related to the course, all students will demonstrate mastery of each skill and disposition as demonstrated by their performance on teacher made evaluation instruments. |
