The
JOURNAL: This is a record you will keep of English vocabulary related
to
the roots studied and Web sites visited. This Notebook should have a record of
each class you attend, and should reflect in neat, coherent and logical fashion
your use of the ROE Dictionary at home (on your own computer after
downloading)
to discover examples not found in the
Text,
and your own and others' contributions
in class, from the Web and elsewhere.
CLASS ATTENDANCE, and FULL PARTICIPATION
through E-Mail
& Internet assignments (especially the
"100%
Paperless Project"- see the
Syllabus,
bottom of the page) are essential for this project, which is a significant
part of the Class Participation grade, and a sine qua non
for a Final
grade. Perfect or near-perfect attendance will raise the grade one level.
Frequent absences will lower it.
FINAL GRADE is determined by your Participation, Completion of the
"100% Paperless Project" (see
Syllabus),
Quiz Average, Mid-Term
and Final Examinations.
Perfect or near-perfect attendance
will have significant (positive) results.
