Proposal reviewer, Division C of American Educational Research Association (AERA) 2004, Evaluated and recommended various technology-based research proposals for the annual meeting in San Diego, California.
Peer-Reviewer: The Journal of Negro Education, 2003-Present, Reviews educational technology themed articles for the Journal of Negro Education (JNE), a scholarly refereed publication that has been published continuously since its founding by the late Dean Charles H. Thompson in 1932. The JNE appears quarterly and is published under the auspices of the Howard University School of Education with the assistance of a national editorial/advisory board. The JNE is a major resource on issues and concerns related to the education of African-American people in the United States and in developing countries.
University Sesquicentennial Strategic Planning Committee, 2002-Present, Plans, develops and presents initiatives in preparation for Seton Hall University's sesquicentennial activities in 2006. Specific subcommittee work included the resources, economic system and partnerships for maximizing revenues and operating frameworks. Tasks include completing SWOT analysis, assessing economic opportunities and making strategic fiscal recommendations for the next three to five years.
Middle States Accreditation Renewal, 2002-Present, Assists in the renewal of the University's accreditation, within Standard 7 - Institutional Assessment. The activities for academic year 2002-2003 will be the self-study, culminating with a community review of the self-study document in Fall 2003 and the accreditation site visit in Spring 2004.
Commencement Processional Marshal, 2002-Present, Serves with the University's commencement committee. Assisted the Provost in the planning, coordinating and directing the procession of graduates, faculty, guests, alumni and families throughout the graduation ceremonies.
University Budget Committee, 2000-2001, 2002-Present, Serves as one of the faculty members (faculty-at-large category) on the university budget committee, responsible for budget formulation and policy recommendations for Seton Hall University.
Co-Chair, Information Technology (IT2) Long-Range Planning Task Team, 2001-Present, Serves as co-chair on the University's Information Technology (IT2) Long-Range Planning task, responsible for planning institutional-wide IT initiatives for the next five years. Strategies are designed to build upon IT strengths and National recognition.
Faculty Senate, Instructional Technology Committee, 2001-Present, Serves on the Faculty Senate's instructional technology committee, responsible for assisting other faculty members with strategies, resolutions and solutions. Committee presents recommendations to the Faculty Senate in accordance with academic governance procedures and ultimately results with Senate-level decisions.
Military Programs Evaluator, American Council on Education (ACE) 2000-Present, Serves as a member (on-call voluntary basis) of the premiere National education organization that evaluates various military education programs across the country. Evaluation results are published in the Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services, the standard reference tool used by colleges and universities throughout the United States to award academic credit for military educational experiences. Last site visit was March 25-27, 2002 at the Soldier Support Institute in Columbia, SC.
Mentor and Advisor for the U.S. Army Alumni and Troops-To-Teacher's Programs, 1998-Present, Provides mentorship and advice to current and former members of the Armed Services regarding career transitioning, including the Troops-To-Teachers initiatives. Serves as the Dean's advisor for college-wide activities that assist this special student population. Requires use of electronic communications including email and bulletin boards. Assisted service members from across the Nation and overseas.

Commencement Academic Marshal, 1999-2001, Served with the University's commencement committee, directing graduates through ceremonies and associated activities.
Military Outstanding Volunteer, 1991- 1994, Volunteered to improve various community service programs such as the parents' and teachers' association (K-12), school advisory committees (K-12), youth programs (K-8), community clubs and three family support groups. Awarded the military outstanding volunteer service medal for this civic work in 1995.
