Peter Ahr's Links Page

The picture to the left is a "carpet page" from the Lindisfarne Gospels, illuminated in Northumbria in northern England in the late 7th century, about 1,300 years ago. Like the carpet page, this page is an interlace of all sorts of valuable and even beautiful materials. These are some of my favorite links; you may find them helpful or fun or otherwise worth checking out.

I also have a separate page of links to materials relating to medieval society; you will find the link to that page below.  It too is an interweaving of a fascinating variety of information, which I hope you will enjoy.

They say of New York that it would be a great city, if they ever finished building it. The same is true of this page. Last update: 11/14/00
