Listing your personal page
Update of the PIRATE Personal Page Index is automated. Please follow these instructions to have your page automatically included.
About the PIRATE Index
- The Home Page List is a list of users who have chosen to be included in the Home Page Index. It is NOT a complete list of all users.
- Avoid listing a Home Page that is still under construction.
- Any problem accessing Pirate should be directed to root@pirate.shu.edu.
To add your homepage to our User Page list:
For All Accounts:
- Create a file named "listpage" .
- Your file named: "listpage" ( Exact spelling ! ) should
contain:
one line of text, up to 50 characters, that you want to appear along with your name in the Index page. - Your file should be saved as a text file with NO EXTENSION as a part of the file name.
- The User Home Page List will be automatically updated DAILY at 2:30 a.m.
- ONLY the first line will be used if you have multiple lines.
- And of course, you may leave it empty too!!
An empty file will still list your name in the directory, just not add any additional information. - ATTENTION: You may include ONLY HTML tags listed here:

<FONT></FONT>
For FTP Accounts:
- Place the "listpage" file in your "public_html" directory.
For FrontPage Accounts:
- Place the "listpage" file in your root directory.
