Paul A. Stellhorn New Jersey History
Award
The Paul A. Stellhorn New Jersey History Award will
be given to a New Jersey undergraduate student who writes an outstanding paper
on New Jersey history. The winner will be awarded $100 and a certificate. The
Stellhorn Award is given annually at the New Jersey History Issues Conference,
and the next prize will be presented on March 28, 2008 in Trenton, New Jersey.
Award Criteria
- The Stellhorn Award acknowledges an outstanding
undergraduate course paper written on any aspect of New Jersey history that
has been submitted in the last academic year. For the purposes of this award,
the paper must have been written between September 2006 and the present.
- Only papers written by undergraduate students
registered and attending a New Jersey college or university are eligible for
the Stellhorn Award. A paper written by a recent graduate is eligible as long
as it was written during the abovementioned academic period. Graduate students are not
eligible for this award.
- Only the faculty member for whom the paper was
written may submit and nominate the paper for the award. Students may not
self-nominate their papers.
- A nominating letter and three (3) copies of the
paper should be sent by February 20, 2008 to:
